Learning to Capture

Using the law of thirds, capture something blue:

Yesterday evening was just an ordinary evening, I went out to get some groceries for the dinner and in the street, I saw this bicycle. This made me remember my own bicycle that had exactly the same design and color. I had so many memories attached to that bicycle and that's the reason why I was moved so much by this sight.

Using the law of thirds, capture something yellow:

As Lady Bird Johnson, the former first lady of United States of America, said: "Where the flowers bloom, so does the hope," it is evident that flowers are a source of hope and contentment for the human beings due to their vividness and sweet smell. Here, I have also tried to capture a sweet little flower that is always ready to make us happy.

Capture something using fill-the-frame:

Being a Mechanical Engineering student, this photo is very close to my heart because it reminds of the day when I used a machine in workshop and made this adapter using the Lathe Machine. It marks the day when a dream of my life was fulfilled.

Capture a building from up high or down low:

The building in the above photo is no other than the Ghazali Hostel, NUST. I never lived in a hostel before I came here. I was frightened and excited at the same time. Despite of the problems that I faced here, I developed a psychological relationship with my hostel. Its professional staff made me feel at home. Unfortunately, we could not experience it much but the short period that I have spent there was an experience of its own. I will never forget the invaluable lessons that this place taught me. I am looking forward to spend some more quality time here.

Capture a person or thing using leading lines:

This photo is a memory from the very first days of admission in NUST when I was exploring the vast area that this university covers. I found this scene pretty much attractive. This is one of the memory of my university life yet.

Another shot using leading lines:

"A heaven for the aspiring Mechanical Engineers" , this particular phrase comes to my mind whenever I this photo. All we learnt up to intermediate level was only boring theoretical works with almost zero practical work. MRC is my favorite place in SMME. Unfortunately, we could not enjoy it much due the ongoing pandemic but I'm optimistic that we will study more there in future.

Capture a vertical portrait of one of your friends:

This fine gentleman in the picture is Ehtisham Ahmad. He is my childhood friend. We have studied together since grade three. Now he's studying Business Administration from NBS. He has always helped me through thick and thin. Also, it won't be justice if I don't mention his sense of humor. I have so many memories with this guy and I can't afford to lose him ever.

Capture a horizontal portrait of a teacher or friend:

Sir Humayun Sultan taught me English in eleventh grade. He is, unarguably, my favorite teacher ever. Not only he is an exceptional teacher but also a fascinating human being. I am of the view that one year is a pretty short time period to get so much attached to a person but this didn't happen in this case. I was emotionally very much attached to him by the end of session. I am delighted to say that I am still in contact with him and he helps me whatever issue I'm facing, be it an academic issue or a personal life issue. I remember him in my prayers. May he live a long, healthy and peaceful life. Amen!

A creative photo of myself:

This picture is from almost a month back when I visited Islamabad along with my family. I have visited the capital several times but it was first time family so I hold this photo in high regard. After all, human beings don't remain here forever but the memories are passed on.
